Setting aside the main villains of each arc of Dragon Ballthe Z Warriors faced a significant number of evil beings, who were of lower levels than the antagonists of the work of Akira Toriyama.
Nappa, the Saibaiman, the Ginyu Special Forces or even the androids Number 20 (Dr. Gero) and Number 19were some of the threats that at the time were serious, and attempted against the life of Our heroes.
The official Dragon Ball website revives one of these secondary villains from the work of Akira Toriyama. We are talking about Yakon, one of the monsters that appears in the last arc of Dragon Ball Z, that of Majin Buu.
Yakon is one of the monsters they face Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and the Supreme Kaiosama (Kaioshin) while they are in the ship that feeds energy to the egg that has Majin Buu inside.
With a series of original illustrations, made by Akira Toriyama for the Dragon Ball Z manga, the official site of the franchise tells the story of this brutal villain who swallowed the energy of his opponents and fought on his planet, a place where that rules darkness.
“Yakon can see even in absolute darkness, so he expects his prey to be blind and defenseless in this new battlefield, but Goku manages to know what the beast is doing by feeling the flow of small air currents,” explains the Dragon Ball official site.
“Goku then 'lightens' things up a bit by going Super Saiyan, but Yakon takes the opportunity to devour the light emitted by the transformation. It turns out that Saiyan energy is quite tasty, as Yakon exclaims, 'That was delicious. He had never eaten such a hearty light 'after finishing the meal,' adds the official site in the history of Yakon.
The monster becomes greedy and asks for more, to which Goku happily replies 'I'll give it to you.' Things look bad for a second, but it turns out that this was all part of Goku's plan to defeat the monster by overcharging it with energy, which produces an explosive effect that ultimately destroys the villain.
