“But the glory days will be back soon,” Ochoa continued through on-screen text, referring to how he looked at the start. He was responding to a comment that claimed he “aged 20 years in med school.” Ochoa has more than 40,000 followers on the platform.

A SIGN TO WITHDRAW FROM MEDICAL SCHOOL?
Multiple viewers took Ochoa’s video as a sign that they should drop out of medical school and choose a different profession to pursue.
“Note taken, don’t go to med school,” one viewer commented on the video.
“Maybe this is my cue to not apply to medicine and do dentistry instead,” said another.
A third commented, “convinced that I am no longer interested in medicine”.
One viewer commented that Ochoa was between 23 and 53 years old, and others said they would never allow a job to stress them out.
“No job will make me (lose) my youth like this, sorry,” said one TikTok user. In response to the comment, Ochoa wrote, “Haha this is cute.”
Other students report similar changes
The TikToker apparently he wasn’t the only user to walk out of med school looking older. Other medical students commented that they had similar experiences.
“I lost half my hair during my internship year,” said one user.
“Same…I’ll get Botox after I graduate…” wrote another.
Others said that Ochoa’s dramatic transformation shows how much stress can affect the body. One viewer said it’s ironic that he’s in the healthcare industry.
“The irony of the healthcare industry never ceases to amaze me,” the viewer wrote.
Another viewer commented: “I think that really shows what stress can do to the body itself. Stress can kill people faster than eating fried chicken every day.”
